We have a reason for choosing our brands name.

We will create and deliver clothing as a professional and there must be courage and an unbreakable will to follow through.

However, there is courage and challenging spirits that lie within amateurs for they have nothing to lose and we don’t want to forget the desire to challenge like an amateur.

Instead of striving for boring stability, we will strive for new challenges and risks that sparks excitement.

 

僕たちがブランドにこの名前を選んだのには理由がある。

僕たちはプロフェッショナルとして服を創り、商売をしていく。そのためには、揺るぎない信念と勇気が必要だ。

しかし、アマチュアとしてのチャレンジ精神を忘れたくない。

アマチュアには、失うものがない故のチャレンジ精神と度胸がある。

僕たちも安定重視の退屈な活動を続けるよりリスクを取ってでも刺激的で新しいことに挑戦したいと思っている。

  

We must be professionals and amateurs at the same time.

We are afraid of tilting towards solely professionalism down the road in continuing our business.

We want to spread positive vibes with the things we enjoy and create friends that can vibe with us.

Thus, we named our brand (Professional Amateur to implement our thoughts and philosophy of what kind of brand we want to create.

 

僕たちはプロフェッショナルでありながら、アマチュアで在り続けなければならない。

活動を続けていくうちに、いつしかプロフェッショナルとしての考えだけに傾き、商売を続けていってしまうことが僕たちにとっては一番怖いことだ。

僕たちは自分たちが面白いと思うことで周りに良い影響を与え、同じ仲間を創りたいと思っている。

だからこそ、僕たちの考えや活動を表現できる(Professional Amateur という名でブランドを始めることを決意した。
